Peace!  I hope that you have a wonderful and fantastic Family Day weekend… here’s what’s coming up in each of our youth ministry groups over the next week:

On Sunday night, LIFE TEEN (grades 9-12) will be hosting a Murder Mystery Dinner from 7:30-9pm in the parish hall.  The scene is the Walgrave Astoria’s Annual Costume ball, and YOU are the guests.  Many of you already have characters to play- but if you don’t, and want to take part, e-mail Mike mlandry@ecsrd.ca to get one (or we’ll assign you one when you arrive on Sunday.)  This will be one heck of a night!

On Tuesday night, we will have our regular Challenge and Conquest (grade 5-8) meetings.  Challenge meets in the parish hall from 6:45-8:15, and Conquest meets at John Paul II School from 7-8:30pm.

On Thursday, THE EDGE (grade 7-8) meets in the hall from 7-8:30pm, for a night called Made for More.  You’ll eat well and get to see the value God places on each and every human life.  Thursday is also Mike’s Holy Hour in the Chapel- you can e-mail, facebook, tweet, or call in intentions- or better yet, join him from 4-5pm in the Chapel. LIFE TEEN core meets that night.

Finally, we’re gearing up for our BIGGEST and one of our BEST events of the year: the Holy Trinity Parish Youth Conference. On Saturday, March 17th, join two hundred other youth, Fr. John Gerth, and the band Anaphora, for an incredible day of faith-building excitement. Read all about it and get the form at http://www.htyouth.ws/youthconference.  The t-shirt deadline is coming up- March 2nd.  So bring in your forms!

With the Alberta Winter games in full swing this weekend, you’ll be happy to know that all of our youth ministry events are still here for you.  Here’s the lowdown:

This weekend will include a youth ministry survey done at all Masses, looking for information to help in visioning and planning out the next few years of youth ministry.  If you’re here – and you fill one out – we’ll enter your name into a draw for a 16 GB iPod Nano.  So you should fill one out (please!)  We’ll also have some EXCITING updates for you about what’s going on since Ali went home this week, and as I mentioned to many of you, I will be moving on this summer as well to work more regularly in the schools.

On Sunday night, LIFE TEEN (grades 9-12) will be examining the reality that our actions impact ourselves and those around us.  Join us for Mass at 6pm and a LIFE night from 7:30-9pm!

On Tuesday night, Challenge and Conquest will be heading to Laser Quest in West Edmonton.  The registration form is available by clicking here.  Bring it and $20 to the parking lot at Holy Trinity Parish at 6pm on Tuesday night. We’ll be back around 9:15pm.

The groundhogs may not be able to decide whether spring is near or not…but here at Holy Trinity we’re pretending that it is! Here’s what’s coming up in the next week.

FRIDAY, FEB 3 (aka tonight): All are invited to join us for XLT: “A Call to Integrity”. Come for a night of music and adoration–Jesus will make an appearance, guaranteed! The evening begins at 7:00pm in the Church. See you there!

SUNDAY, FEB 5: Youth grades 9-12 are invited to LIFETEEN: “In Pursuit”. If you’ve ever wondered whether God wants you to be happy or not, this night is for you. We’ll meet in the hall at 7:30pm, but feel free to join us for mass at 6:00pm!

TUESDAY, FEB 7: Challenge and Conquest clubs meet! The Challenge Girls meet in the parish hall at 6:45pm, and the Conquest Boys meet in the gym at John Paul II School in Stony Plain at 7:00pm.

THURSDAY, FEB 9: EDGE will meet (for real this week!). All youth in grades 7-8 are invited to join us for “With All Your”, a night about loving God with whatever we’ve got. We’ll meet in the hall at 7:oopm.

SUNDAY, FEB 12: Youth in grades 9-12 are invited to LIFETEEN: “Chain Reaction”. We’ll meet in the hall at 7:30pm, but as always, you’re more than welcome to join us for mass at 6:00pm!

SUNDAY, JAN 29: Mike has a few tickets left for the Third Day/Starfield concert in Edmonton. Let him know if you’re interested in going.
ALSO: All youth in grades 9-12 are invited to join us for LIFETEEN: “Wii Love Jesus”, a night to de-stress from exam pressure! We’ll meet at 7:30 in the hall at Holy Trinity!

TUESDAY, JAN 31: Challenge and Conquest WILL NOT meet this week (team leader formation). Our next meeting will be Tuesday, Feb 7. See you then!

THURSDAY, FEB 2: All youth in grades 7-8 are invited to EDGE: “With All Your”, a night on loving God with all we’ve got! We’ll meet in the hall at 7:00pm.

The holidays have come and gone, and here at Holy Trinity, we’re getting back into the swing of things! Here’s a look at what’s on the calendar for this week:

TUESDAY, JAN 17: The Challenge girls (grades 5-8) will meet at 6:45pm in the Hall at Holy Trinity. The Conquest Boys WILL NOT meet.

THURSDAY, JAN 19: After a long holiday hiatus, EDGE is back! All youth grades 7-8 are invited to join us for “Riddle Me That”, a night of mysteries and games! We’ll meet in the hall at 7:00pm! Hope to see you there!

–The youth choir will practice from 5:30-6:30

SATURDAY, JAN 21: In lieu of a typical Tuesday night meeting, the Conquest boys are taking on Telus World of Science! We’ll meet at John Paul II School in Stony Plain–the bus will leave at noon and return by 6:00pm. The cost of the event is $30 and permission forms are required. SUNDAY, JAN 22: All youth in grades 9-12 are invited to LIFE TEEN: “Airbands”, a night of stressbusters during exams. Join us for mass at 6pm and LIFE TEEN at 7:30. See you then!

TUESDAY, DEC 20: Challenge and Conquest (youth grades 5-8) are joining forces for a family potluck! BOTH clubs will meet in the hall at Holy Trinity at 6:00pm for a meal and some family time!

THURSDAY, DEC 22: All are invited to join us for a holy hour from 4-5pm in the chapel at Holy Trinity.
ALSO ON THURSDAY:
–Youth choir practices at 5:30 for Christmas Eve–we’re singing at 4:00pm at St.
Thomas Aquinas.
–There will be NO EDGE night. See you in January!

SUNDAY, DEC 11: All youth grades 9-12 are invited to join us for LIFE TEEN: “Wipeout!”. We meet in the hall at 7:30pm, but consider yourself invited to join us for mass at 6:00pm! See you there!

TUESDAY, DEC 13: Challenge and Conquest meet. The Conquest boys meet in the gym at John Paul II School in Stony Plain at 7:00pm. The Challenge girls will meet at 6:45pm in the hall–Challenge this week is a mother-daughter event! Come for a night of refreshments and reflection!

THURSDAY, DEC 15: All are invited to join us for a holy hour in the chapel at Holy Trinity from 4-5pm.

SUNDAY, DEC 4: There will be NO LIFE TEEN, as we’ll have spent all weekend on retreat. Our next LIFE Night is Sunday, December 11.

TUESDAY, DEC 6: Challenge and Conquest (for youth grades 5-8) meet. The Challenge girls meet at 6:45pm in the hall at Holy Trinity, and the Conquest boys meet at 7:00pm in the gym at John Paul II School in Stony Plain.

THURSDAY, DEC  8: Youth in grades 7-8 are invited to join us for EDGE: “Daily Decision”, a look into what it takes to become Super-Catholics (like super-atheletes, but way better!). We meet at 7:00pm in the hall at Holy Trinity. This is our last EDGE Night until January. Hope to see you there!

It’s official: winter is upon us (I can’t be in denial anymore…). Even though it’s cold, and even though lots of snow magically appeared overnight, we’ve got lots going on in the next week!

SUNDAY, NOV 20: All youth grades 9-12 are invited to join us as LIFE TEEN takes on Laser Quest! A bus will be leaving the Holy Trinity parking lot at 2:00pm and returning in time for the 6:00pm mass. Permission forms are required (you can download them at www.htyouth.ws/lifeteen), and the cost for the event is $20.

TUESDAY, NOV 22: Challenge and Conquest (youth grades 5-8) meet. The Conquest boys meet at 7:00pm in the gym at John Paul II School in Stony Plain, and the Challenge girls meet in the hall at Holy Trinity at 6:45pm.

THURSDAY, NOV 24: Youth grades 7-8 are invited to join us for The EDGE: “Gimme, Gimme, Gimme”. There will be food, games, and general craziness, starting at 7:00pm in the hall at Holy Trinity.

FRIDAY, NOV 25: Our annual Advent Warm Up is at 7:00pm in the Church. Each of the choirs (including the youth choir) will sing a few songs to get everyone in the spirit of Advent! Refreshments will follow.

SUNDAY, NOV 27: Youth grades 9-12 are invited to LIFE TEEN: “At Your Service”. We meet in the hall at 7:30pm, but feel free to join us for mass at 6:00pm!

TUESDAY, NOV. 15: Challenge and Conquest (for youth grades 5-8) meet. The Conquest boys meet in the gym at John Paul II School in Stony Plain from 7-8:30. The Challenge girls meet in the hall at Holy Trinity from 6:45-8:15.
